Philadelphia Zoo!

Although, they were predicting a few scattered showers we still headed to the Philly Zoo!! It's so nice having a membership, you don't have to worry about spending the money to park and get in and then have to lease early for rain. (It was a terrific idea to get a membership together Sarah, thanks for thinking of us!)

First stop the reptile house to see all the turtles.

I would not want to meet this guy in a river!
What did Dave spot now?

A dwarf alligator.

"Look this snake follows my finger."

And of course no visit to the zoo is complete till you spend plenty of time at the big turtles.

We even got to see them eat today!

Currently the zoo has an animal Lego exhibit featuring 10 endangered animals.

"Why would anyone hurt a turtle?" to make them endangered.

As you enter big cat falls there is a little turtle statue that Dave stopped by to have his picture with.

And while we were in big cat falls there was a short 5 minute shower this big cat decided to take cover under a tree, while this one...

thought he would cool off for a bit.

And as member's on the zoo we get to go in the member's only tree house.

Has anyone seen Dave?

Wrestling an alligator!

It was a great day at the zoo! As we were leaving we spotted one the Phillie Phantics that are all over Philly, Chris just had to have his picture with him. I think we have seen three of the dozen or so that are around Philly. I think that it would be a fun trip to try to find them all and get pictures with each one. Maybe that will be a trip for another day.
