One of our favorite holiday traditions is to check out Tis the Simpson's Christmas at 502 Timber court Perkasie (in the long leaf development off of Orchard Road). It is great fun to sit in your nice warm car, tune the radio to 90.7 FM, and watch the lights dance to the music!! A holiday must see!

Trimming the Tree
It was that time of year again, to get all of the decorations out and make our house look and smell like Christmas! I love decorating for Christmas, but you seem to always forget how long it takes to do. Maybe it just took longer this year since Dave was very interested in helping put out the decorations.
Searching for just the right ornament.
Found one!
And finding just the right spot on the tree to place it.
Sorry this picture is dark but hopefully you can see that he has a Santa in his hand.
And this is Dave explaining that he put "all of the Santa's on the side of the tree by the wind so that Santa can see them when he flies his sleigh by."
Putting up the star!
Looks pretty good!
(Dave did all the bottom and middle decorating of the tree his year.)
I just love a Christmas tree at night!!

Thanksgiving Day Parade!
We thought that as a special Thanksgiving Day treat, we would ride the train into Philadelphia to see the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade!! Above you can see Dave and Pies enjoying watching the huge balloons go by. Below are some of the balloons and floats that we saw in the parade.
Dave liked these Christmas cats the best!
And the highlight of the parade the big guy himself, Santa!!

Being creative!
I thought tonight we would get a jump start on Christmas gifts. So Dave painted a two gifts one for Nan and one for Beegee. Just a few pictures but nothing showing the present, so no one can snoop to see their fantastic gifts, made by Dave!
Concentrating really hard!
You'll have to wait for Christmas to see the final projects!

Ohh the possibilities in a pile of leaves!
A pile of leaves has so many possibilities! Of course you have to jump in them to get started!
And then they can be a huge mountain, where you are the king.
Or the Ocean and you are the ship captain.
I think he's having a good time, don't you?
But fall is Hallie Dog's favorite time of year, too.
She loves when you throw her ball in a huge pile of leaves and she has hunt for it.
As you can see she goes all the way in the pile and loves every minute of it.
Jim Henson's Fantastic World
Today, Nan took us to see Jim Henson's Fantastic World at the James Michener Art Museum. It was so neat to see Kermit the frog, along with some other friends... Bert and Ernie, Fraggles, Rowolf, King Goshposh and Featherstone. We also, saw of Jim Henson's sketches and ideas. Sorry you weren't allowed to photograph the muppets.
Dave making his own muppet design.
Nan thought that it would be funny to try to eat this giant piece of cheese!
I'll leave you with a few quotes from Jim Henson.
"One of the nice things about puppets is that it's your own hand in there. You can make it do anything you want it to."
"As children, we all live in a world of imagination, of fantasy, and for some of us that world or make-believe continues into adulthood."
