Cheerio!

We are going over the pond, going for a cuppa with the lymies, hoping to do some royalty watching/spotting, some uninterrupted shopping and the search for the perfect cream puff (we will eat 100's if we have too)!!  That's right mom and I are packed and ready to leave tomorrow for our two week trip to visit Aunt Pat in England.  I'm sure that when I get back there will a huge post with tons of pictures from our trip.  And things about what Dave and Chris did, I know that he already has several fun things planned to do together.

Giggleberry Faire

Since today was a rather rainy day, we thought that maybe we would check our Giggleberry Faire for something to do.  It wasn't exactly what Chris and I expected but Dave seemed to have a good time!  Below Dave is catching some fish.

And here Dave is riding a motorcycle like Pop!

What a fantastic idea!

Yesterday, Dave and I did our usual weekly trip to Landis to get the groceries.  We were going around like normal stopping to get some fruit and vegetables and then off to the deli for some lunch meat.  And while we were waiting for the deli to slice our lunch meat, Dave had a fantastic idea.  He thinks that it would be great if Landis had a drive-thru, that way you could just stay in the car and get all the groceries!!  Yes, he came up with this idea all on his own.  So of course I totally agreed with him!  Wouldn't life be so much easier if only Landis had a drive-thru!!  (Maybe Dave was born to re-invent grocery shopping and when he grows up he will own the first drive-thru grocery store!)

YUM!

Today, we headed over to Asher's Chocolate Factory to see them making their yummy chocolates and candies!  I had to go to pick up some chocolate covered to pretzels and potato chips to take England for gifts.  But as you can see Dave really enjoyed watching the pretzels get covered in chocolate.  I know you think I'm terrible for taking him to see them making chocolate, since he can't eat it, but it's all good!  They also make gummy snacks and jelly beans, so Dave was happy to get a small pack of jelly beans for dessert tonight!

Knock, Knock...

Mom: "Who's there?"
Dave: "Banana!"
Mom: "Banana, who?"
Dave: "Banana gonna eat you!!"

It's a big...

TURTLE!

Today, we stopped at Fins Feathers Paws and Claws in Harleysville to see... that's right a big turtle!  What could be better!  Dave loved seeing this big guy, after a few minutes of watching him we were off to see the fish.

And then it was off to see the lizards.

And before we could leave to finish our errands for the day we had to stop and see the big guy again.  And this time he was enjoying his lunch!

So of course being the turtle lover that Dave is we had to stay for a little bit to watch him eat his lunch of lettuce, carrots, and crickets!

Fresh Idea Fridays...reading!

My Friend Lisa over at Out of the Blue, has posted another Fresh Idea Fridays, so I thought that I would join in.  This weeks topic is reading with your children.  As you can see Dave has a rather big library already.  When I was pregnant with Dave, my mom and mother-in-law threw me a  baby shower, where they asked all guests to bring a book to start the babies library.  What a great idea!    That is where most of our books came from.  My other favorite place to pick up books is a yard sales and mother's marts you can usually find kids books for ten cents to a quarter!!   So here are a few of Dave's favorite books.

One of Dave's new favorites!!  i bet you can tell from the title where we keep this book and when we read this one...

And of course our list would not be complete without Curious George!  But I wold have to say that is ultimate favorites George books are Curious George and the bunny and Curious George's ABC's!  Chris and I have rad both of the books a few million times and we have both of them memorized at this point, but they are still great ones to read!!

A classic book!!  One that I enjoyed as a kid.  And this is a great one to act out together!!

I know that Lisa had already mention this series, but it is a great one and had to be posted again!

Hope that you enjoyed seeing some of our favorites if you would like to join in on Lisa's Fresh Idea Fridays, please visit her site Out of the Blue!
