North Pole Tea!

Today, we went to the tea room to be guests at the North Pole Tea!

At first Dave was a little shy of Santa, but you can see that Dave made sure the hand Santa his letter (Santa has it in his hand).

This was the first course for the kids. It was a Rudolph pear, Dave ate the cherry nose off before I got the picture, and Vegetable soup.

You can see that he's warming up to Santa! I think that Santa was asking to have some of his soup.

Still trying to get some of that soup. Dave said that it was his and that Nan would get Santa some if he really wanted it.

The kids plate. Complete with a Christmas mouse, made out of a hard boiled egg.

Dave couldn't wait for his scone. And he got a donut snowman for on of his desserts.

Adult sandwiches.

Cinnamon scones.

And the adult desserts!

Dave got an early present from Santa.

Patiently waiting in the line to have Santa sign his book.

Watching in awe as Santa writes a note his book.

The look on Dave's face says it all.

Look he signed my book!!!

And the big Guy let Dave pick out two candy canes to take home.

Ohh, and then Nan let Dave pick another book from Santa, so of course Dave had to get that one signed too.

Chatting with Santa.

I don't think he's shy anymore!

Nan with Dave and Santa.

And a hug for Santa at the end!!

Stringing the Lights!

Today, one of the coldest days of the season so far, is the day that we chose to put the lights up outside. I don't know we wait for the coldest day every year, but somehow that's how is always works out. I guess it would not be Christmas time if we were not out there freezing our butts out off trying to string the lights, and of course it's complete with the annual light argument, LOL!!

Dave helping to hold the lights tight to wrap them around the bush.

After a little bit Dave decided that once again it was way to cold to be outside doing this and go the best seat in the house, a view from the window!!

I was way to freezing by the end to get a picture of them light up, so maybe that will be this week's Wordless Wednesday picture.

Where's our Elf?? Day 3

Today, Frisbee, the Elf, was checking out our tree to make sure it is ready for presents!!

Silverdale Fire Company's Secret Santa Workshop

Today, was the Secret Santa Workshop at Silverdale Fire Company! It was a great success. We had a bunch of mom's asking if this was going to be an annual event (I think it might be). But stay tuned for details about other events in the coming future, we have some great ideas!!

Santa waving outside the Fire Company to draw some more crowds in.

Fireman James shopping with a few of our customers.

Liz, did a great job as our greeter at the door!

Charlene filling out the form so that the fireman knew who the kids needed to buy gifts for and how much they had to spend.
