Color Me Mine

Dave and I headed to Color Me Mine the other day to make a few Christmas presents. Dave always loves going to paint on the pottery. It is a lot of fun and then there's no clean-up afterwards for me! I only took a few pictures so that two certain people can't see their Christmas presents.

Perkasie's Tree Lighting

Last night was Perkasie's tree lighting. Dave was so excited to go and see Santa light the tree. So the three of us bundled up with lots of layers. (That's why there are no pictures, it's too hard to take pictures with gloves on.) We put Dave in his stroller in a snowsuit and blankets covering him up and we went to wait for Santa to light the tree. It was so cold and snowing that we didn't quite make it too see the big guy arrive. But we did have a nice time walking through Perkaise in the snow!! It made it a fun night for Dave even if he couldn't make it to see Santa. Dave was the one that had asked to go home. He said that he would see Santa at Nan's tea room on Saturday and he would talk to him then.

Mail time

About once a month Dave receives a package from our Aunt Pat. He looks so forward to opening the mail box and seeing the yellow envelop from England.
Dave making sure that it has his name and address on the envelop before opening it.

Opening the package up!!

OH, a Fireman Sam magazine. She sends the latest issue of Fireman Sam every month. They usually come with a little toy. This issue came with stickers and a little cell phone, or should I say a little mobile phone?!

Thanks Aunt Pat!!!

Souderton Christmas Parade!

Today, was the Souderton Christmas Parade although it was on the chilly side, we did make it about halfway through the parade. Keep in mind the parade lasts about two hours. So I bundled Dave up really well and off we went to see the parade. Below, Dave is getting his flag ready to wave. One of the first to drive by was this carriage pulled by two very big horses. Some soap box cars that local kids made, a few of them were winners! Dave wanted to make sure that we got a picture of this dog pulling a wagon. He said that we should show it to Hallie dog so that maybe she can learn to do this.Dave very cold and ready to go. He said that it's ok that we didn't see Santa at the end of the parade cause he will see him tonight at the Perkasie tree lighting.

Sellersville Tree Lighting

Tuesday night was the tree lighting at Sellersville, so over we went to see Santa. Above Dave and Chris were on the lookout for the firetruck with Santa to arrive.
"I think I hear the sirens, Daddy."

"Look there he is, Daddy!" I think Chris was rather excited to see Santa!!!

Here the big guy is arriving on the fire truck. Dave wanted to know why he was not on his sleigh. So after some quick thinking we said the the magic of flying reindeer only works on Christmas eve. He was rather happy with that answer. Shortly after Santa arriving Dave was ready to get home, although he was bundled up really well (snowsuit and all) he was cold.

Putting up the tree!!

On Tuesday, we decided that it was time to get our house ready for the big guy to arrive. So out came all the decorations. It's always a bigger job then it seems to start out to be. In fact there are still a few boxes of decorations waiting for me upstairs. But I'm determined to finish putting them up today. Dave loved getting everything out and seeing the house turn into a winter wonderland. He even wrote Santa a Christmas note and put it in Santa's mail box. And while we were out getting dinner at Red Robin Santa wrote Dave a note back that he better remember to be a good boy and that he is always watching. This Christmas is going to be so much fun. It's great to be a kid at Christmas time, everything is so magical!!!!

Putting the first ornament on the tree!Adding some more Dave had to make sure they were in the just the right place on the tree.Dave pretending he's the Christmas tree.Dave placing the star on the tree!Dave and Chris working on the outside lights. A job that is still in the process of being finished. We ended up not having enough extension cords, so we will be doing a Home Depot trip the weekend and it should be finished very soon.Hallie wishing that she could help with decorating the outside of the house.
