Hurricane Sandy started off nice and slow with a lazy day at home.
We pretended to be kitty's.
Meow!
The boys enjoyed a day full of Wii.
Sarah enjoyed when there were monkeys on Wii.
Having a little pony ride around the basement. Take notice to how nice the basement looks!
And of course there was time for playing people.
And comforting the dog, she hates any kind of weather changes.
Sarah telling dog not to be a chicken!
Dave created an owl.
Dave's finished owl.
Hurricane Sandy was rather on the mild and and uneventful side till about 8:30 or so. We got Sarah to bed just in time, about 15 minutes after she fell asleep in her room we lost our power. And Hurricane Sandy made her presence known! We all could not believe that Sarah was sound asleep in her room while we had very strong winds tossing the trees around, pulling shingles off our room, and our garage door was making horrible noises, we were waiting for that to go flying into the air. But luckily we still have a garage door. As the winds calmed down a bit we all headed up stairs to bed in the cold dark house. Everyone had extra blankets and the kids both had glow sticks in their rooms to use as night lights. Little did we know that we would be waking up to more then just a cold dark house in the early hours of the morning.
