Brandywine Zoo ~ Delaware

Today, we crossed off another zoo in our 50 zoo in 50 state challenge!  Brandywine Zoo in Delaware.
Checking out the giant condors, they are the largest flying bird!  And did you know that they are thought to have been around for 60 million years.

Learning about how and what whales eat.
 Amazed by the bee hive.
 A serval.

We got to see this great tiger jump down from up top to get  a drink.

Dave making sure that Sarah saw the porcupine!

The otters were very busy, so we only have a bunch of blurry pictures of them, lol!
Dave made friends with a goat!
And on the way out Sarah wanted to stop and see the fountain.

Keep watching to see which zoo we cross off of our 50 zoos in 50 states challenge!

A New Mailbox!

First thing is first, getting rid of the old mailbox!

And then they had to dig a 2 foot hole to cement the new post into the ground.

Dave thought it would be funny to stand in the hole.
So of course Sarah then wanted to stand in the hole.
Dave thought that it was very funny that Sarah was in the hole!
 Assembling the new mailbox.

Dave helping to tighten the screws.
Making the post level before adding in the cement mix.
Adding the water to the cement mix.
And watching the cement dry, of course they did not sit still for too long before they were looking for a snack while they waited.
Bolting the mailbox to the post.
 Dave tightening the bolts.
Adding the back cover, and we have a new mailbox!

Zoo Fun!

Today, we went to the zoo with the Brun Family.  The kids had an amazing time together!

 Checking out the petting barn.

Nad of course a stop to see the swimming turtles.

 Sarah the butterfly.
The ferrets were out for a walk today.
And of course the highlight of the zoo, everyone got to feed the giraffes!

This giraffe just loved Tom!  He kept coming over to Tom and nuzzling up to him!

Thank you Brun Family for going to the zoo with us, we all had a great time.  We need to make plans soon for another fun adventure!
