Dave's yearly videos

My father-in-law and brother-in-law make Dave a video every year to document his achievements as he grows up. They include everything (well just about) that he did over the year and they are set to music! Year one and two are posted, and year three will be posted soon, it's still in the works~~

Year One:

Year Two:

One of our favorite places to go

Today, Dave and I headed to Elmwood Park Zoo. (Chris' Grandmother gets us a membership every year for Christmas-- so we can be found there alot.) The zoo is one of Dave's most favorite places to go. I think he is the only 3 year old that can give you a full and complete tour of the zoo. Maybe they should hire him as a tour guide. Really... this kid knows everything about the zoo!

Dave wanted to have his picture taken with the wolves (look closely they are in background)

Dave just thinks it's so funny when the porcupines are sleeping with their teeth sticking out. It cracks him up every time.

And this is my favorite picture of the day! It's like they are best friends. (the prairie dog probably thinks they are best friends since we are here so much.)

Our wedding video

My brother-in-law and I made these videos for Chris of our wedding as an anniversary present. I thought that I would like to share them with everyone. (My father-in-law and brother-in-law also make a video for Dave every year at his birthday. I will post these in the next few days.)

Our Wedding: Getting Ready

We were married on June 7, 2003. (Some pictures appear to be rainy--it was a monsoon on our wedding day--these are our true wedding day photos. Our photograpgher's lab lost most of our original wedding day photos and so we had to have the pictures retaken more than a year later. (It figures with our luck, the day of the retakes could not have been more perfect with bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky). Sad, I know, but it was fun to do it over again. The best part was that at the end of the day we found out that we were pregnant with Dave. I was told that if you wear your wedding dress again you are pregnant... guess it holds true)

Our Wedding: The Ceremony

(Our ceremony was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sellersville)

Our Wedding: The Reception

(Our reception was held at The Manor House at Commonwealth in Horsham. It was wonderful!!! Thanks Mom and Dad.)

Perkasie Community Day

Today we went to Perkasie Community Day. The first thing that Dave did and about the only thing we did was stay with the firemen! As soon as we got there Dave spotted the Silverdale fire trucks and off we went to see them. Dave could not wait to say hi to all of his buddies. (Dave knows them all by name and they all know him by name.) The Silverdale firemen made Dave an honorary fireman in their department. He knows all about the fire trucks and made sure to tell all the other kids about the parts of the truck and told them the names of the fireman.

Dave enjoying a huge slice of watermelon at Community Day!!!

We also took a tractor ride which Dave thought was very bumpy and long, but still fun!!

And the best part was watching the fireman doing the water battles!! Of course we had to cheer for Silverdale!!!

The Beginning

Hello everyone,
I have finally decided to try blogging. I have thought about blogging for 3 years now and I'm just getting around to it. Since this is my first entry I thought it would be best to give some background on what has happened over the last several years. Chris and I got married on June 7th, 2003. (I will post our wedding video later, my computer won't read it right now.) We lived in a little one bedroom apartment in Sellersville for about a year. After saving every penny we could over the first year of our marriage, we were finally able to buy our first house. We moved into our house on April 30, 2004. Our first house was a small three bedroom twin home that was over 100 years old. The house was located at 134 South Branch Street in Sellersville. Originally we planned to stay in this house for at least five years, but, soon after moving in we found that we were blessed with our first pregnancy. On May 22, 2005 David James Ferry came into this world and blessed our family. Dave weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 22.5 inches long! Once the David's stuff filled the house and David started to grow the house started to shrink leaving us no choice but to look for something bigger. On October 29, 2007 we moved to a single home in a wonderful neighborhood in Hilltown. Chris is still loving his job as a Hilltown police officer and I am loving my main job as a stay-at-home mom. I also have a nice little part-time job working for my mom. My mom opened Tilly Mint's Tea Room in Souderton in September of 2007. Dave is a very happy, healthy, active 3 year old. He is at the age where everything is amazing to him and he asks "why" about everything. Some days are more challenging than others, but we are both loving every minute of watching him grow up. I know that this is a very short summary of our lives, but I had to start off somewhere....I hope that you enjoy reading about our adventures!
