Day 1 in Disney!

As we set off to make the hour drive to Disney, we spotted our first alligator right outside the hotel.
The first road sign for Disney!

So much fun to drive your own car under this sign!
 And this sign!

Finding our home for the week!
Our home for the week, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
We unloaded the car, left our luggage with the bell men and we were right on the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom!
Happy to be on the monorail headed to the parks!
 First spotting of the castle.
Sarah was beyond excited to get to ride Dumbo!
She could hardly contain herself standing in line.
 Chris and Dave on Dumbo.
She was so excited to be on Dumbo and she LOVED every second of it.
Taking the first of many rides on Cinderella's Carousel.
Dave and I road on the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train!
Getting ready for the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train!
 Snow White's cottage.

Back to the hotel to see our rooms.

 The main lobby.

 Our home for the week.
And our view!  We got to watch the electrical water pageant and magic kingdom wishes fireworks from bed every night!
Our one and only towel creation.
Spirit of Aloha dinner show.....a bit disappointing, glad that we tried it once, but not one that we will go back too.

 Dave and the Tiki-man.
Back to the Magic Kingdom for a few rides!
It's a Small World, Tea Cups, Peter Pan's Flight, and there maybe have been a few more...but I can't remember.

And We are Off!!

Who would have ever thought that waking this little one up at 1:30 AM was a good idea?!  She did not stop talking talking until after we stopped for breakfast.
 Snacks and
movies kept them both happy for the long ride.
 After breakfast nap....
Watching the beginning of our reveal video!  (see the previous post for the video.)

Chris nearly bursting, while the kids are watching the video.
Dave trying to solve the riddle.....

And he got...."We are going to Disney?!"
"WHAT DAVE?  We are going where???"
 "DISNEY!"
 "DISNEY!"
We drive all the way to Florida in one day, we spent the night just a little over an hour from Disney.  Once we got the hotel for the night, both kids got birthday boxes to open filled with stuff they will need for Disney!  Magic Bands, hats, Mouse ears, pins, drinking cups, birthday shirts, birthday buttons, and disney gift cards!

Happy Birthday, Dave and Sarah!!  We hope that you enjoy your gift of a trip to Disney World!
