Build a Bear

We saw a commercial that Build a Bear was currently featuring My Little Pony and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  And since there is not a Build a Bear near us, we found one close to our hotel and surprised the kids with a visit.
Sarah chose to make Pinkie Pie.

And Dave chose to make a camo bear with a ninja turtle shirt.
 Choosing just the right hearts.
Learning about what they have to do to give their special Build a Bears life.

Rub their hearts to warm them up.
Jump up and down to jump start their hearts.
Sarah thought this was very funny!
And make a wish as you place the heart inside.

 Cleaning them up!

The guy who helped the kids create their Build a Bears was nice enough to offer to take a family picture for us.

Rodger William's Zoo, Rhode Island

Crossing Rhode Island off of out 50 zoos/aquariums in 50 states!
Best exhibit in the whole zoo!

Waiting in line for our camel ride.
Getting on the camel, Sarah was so excited!
 Off we go.

Dave's turn for a camel ride.

We saw some pigs, which made Sarah very happy.

And we saw several different types of turtles, which made Dave happy.
This was an animal that we have never seen.

 More turtles.

 And some more pigs!
Not sure which Sarah enjoyed more a camel ride or brushing a goat with a pink brush.

This summer we decided to get Rhode Island and Connecticut, crossed off our 50 zoos/aquariums in 50 states.
The car ride was pretty peaceful.
Nan sent along a few surprise packages for the trip, Sarah was very excited for her new Octonauts.
 And a new book.
Welcome to Rhode Island!
