Not only was today Animal Enrichment day at the zoo, it is also National Vulture Awareness Day. This is Lucy the Black Vulture, she was raised by humans and does not know that she vulture.

This is Mo Mo the porcupine.
Today, for the animal enrichment day, Mo Mo got some popcorn and dried fruit.
But if you look very closely Mo Mo was waving his her hand at the trainer to feed her. She was expecting her daily raisin that is how she gets her thyroid medicine.
When she did not get her raisin she decided to cool off on her ice block.
Also, today at the zoo you could play some games. Above dave is picking a "porcupine quill"!

Then over by the Buffalos you were able to paint bird houses!
The prairie dogs were out and about today!

And then we got to watch a snake paint!!
On our way out we stopped to take one last look at Mo Mo, as per Sarah's request to see the porkie! Look what we found!! She got the popcorn bag stuck on her head and the keeper had to come in and save her. Don't worry she was just fine and started to ask the keeper for her raisin!
