getting ready for the 100th day of school

Next week Dave's class will be celebrating the 100th day of school.  Each child was assigned a food item to bring into class.  I was happy to see that Dave choose to bring in 100 crackers and not the 100 mini cupcakes that another mom has to make!!
We made 10 rows of 10, to have 100 crackers in total!

Valentine's Cards

Since we were iced in the house today, Dave and I thought it would be a good day to work on his Valentine's for his class.  Above he is choosing just the right Transformer Valentine for each kid in his class.
And signing his name to all 23 Valentines!!

Instead of a Snow Day this week . . .

Dave had an ice day, off from school again!
It's going to take a bit to get that to thaw off.

Good thing we aren't going anywhere today.
Looks as though the Durango has whiskers.

 Hmmm...will we get mail today?

Looks as though this bush has had it.  We lost it's matching one last year during the snow.  Seems to me we will be doing some landscaping in the spring.

Just a little humor for the day!

Flutter Fun!

Today, Dave came home with another Flutter Fun bag.  Today's project was What Comes in 2's, 3's, and 4's?

So first we read the book, then we went on a scavanger hunt around the house to see what we could find that comes in 2's, 3's, and 4's.
Magnets have 4 sides to them.
2 turtle salt and pepper shakers.
2 jars of spaghetti sauce for dinner.
 3 banana's.
Your shoes come in pairs of 2.
4 dog paws, who also has 2 large ears.  (Or you could say that there are 4 ears in this picture.)
 4 flippers on a turtle.
2 antlers on a Moose, who also has 4 legs.
 2 wings on an eagle.
 4 tires on a car.
A group of 3 little tea pots.
 3 turtles.
 3 bunnies.
3 of Pop's bowls stacked together.
 2 gloves.

I think Dave did an excellent job finding things that are around house that come in 2's, 3's, and 4's.

Our little girly's freshly painted room.

 Panoramic view.
Her crib and tea set are all ready.
I'm sure many of hours will be spent in this chair.
And yes her dresser is packed with newborn and 0-3 month clothing!  All we need to do is add a few pictures to walls, which we need to wait a bit to do for the paint to fully dry and we will be ready for May 12th!

A little visitor.

This morning there was a little visitor on my car as we were getting ready to leave for school.  He was drinking the water off my car as it melted.
