Looking back at 2009

I thought that it might be fun to pull a few of our favorite pictures from 2009 to share with you again. As I started to look through our 2009 pictures this task began to get more and more difficult. We have done so many fun and wonderful things in 2009, it was very difficult to choose what to post. (The following pictures are in no special order)

Dave enjoying one of the few sunny days that we had this past spring at the Elmwood Park Zoo.

Over the summer Dave learned to fish, above Pops i helping Dave to practice reeling in a fish.

Watching how to fish.

Taking his turn at fishing! Needless to say we spent a lot of time fishing this year.

Finding just the right spot to fish.

A ride on the Perkasie Carousel.

Some swimming time with Cara and Tyler.

A wonderful morning spent with Caleb and Noah at the Elmwood Park Zoo.

Gotta love this picture!

Swimming with Pies.

And we can't forget to include our dog!

Best Friends.

Like Father, Like Son.

Watching Pop in his shop.

"I love turtles, all turtles, brown ones, black ones, green ones, small ones, big ones.... I love them all!!"

One of our many trips to Adventure Aquarium.

Apple picking.

A wonderful trip to England to see Aunt Pat.

Robin Hood for Halloween.

Fun that the Philadelphia Zoo.

Turtles again!

Dave's 4th birthday party!

Amazed at the circus.

First trip to the beach.

Chris pretending to be a fireman at Community Day which shortly after this we both joined the Silverdale Fire Company.

Silverdale Fire Company's Secret Santa Workshop organized by Steph and myself!

First Day of Pre-K!

First Philadelphia Phillies game.

One of the biggest snow falls that Dave has seen!

Our photo Session with Caitlin Domanico. I still can't pick a favorite!

As 2009 and comes to a close and we look over the year, it was a wonderful year. We are hoping that 2010 will be even better!

The Polar Express

We thought that since Dave has really enjoyed watching the Polar Express this year, it would be nice to see it at the Adventure Aquarium. Well, the day was not what we expected. First the aquarium was beyond crowded, we expected crowds but not like this. The only thing that we got to see was the giant turtle and some small turtles (Which we had to wait in line for 20 minutes to see). Then it was time to see the movie. The movie was in 4-D, should be fun right? Well, they did not tell you that they cut the movie down to be 15-20 minutes, which was very disappointing. And then they also do not tell you that they will shoot water at you directly in your face. So Dave was in tears, we felt bad for him, but were able to calm him down enough to stay to watch it. I think that if they had explained this on their site we would have told Dave ahead of time and he would have been prepared for it. (We have gone to the 4-D theater at the Philadelphia Zoo and enjoyed that.) So it was not our usual trip to the aquarium were everyone is happy. Oh, well maybe next time will be better.

Watching the...

big turtle!

And the little turtles that we waited in line to see.

Merry Christmas Nan and Pop!

Due to Chris's work schedule this year, we didn't get to celebrate Christmas with parent's until today. But all is good, we just were able to spread Christmas out over several days, instead of one very long day. Below are a few pictures of Dave opening his presents.

Can't really reach the bottom of the bag.

"I got it!"

"Maybe if I just crawl in!"

It was worth all the wrestling with the big bag!

Thank you for all our wonderful gifts!

Christmas with Mee-mee and Pops!

Tonight, Dave and I went to my parent's for our traditional Christmas dinner. While we there we exchanged gifts with Mee-mee and Pops. I'm not sure why this is the only picture that I took and it's not even that good of a picture. Sorry about that. Chris was not with us for dinner since he was working Christmas night, but we are having Christmas with my parents on Monday night.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning just gets better every year! I love seeing Dave's face light up when he walks down the stairs and sees that Santa was here. That's all I need on Christmas Day is to just watch the magic of Christmas in Dave's eyes.

Making sure that Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk. The big guy even left a note saying that he was already at Andrew and Ricky's houses and that he was now going to Sarah Jane and Kayle's houses.

Dave started off with his stocking.

But then had to take a break, because Hallie could not contain herself, she had to know what she got for Christmas!

He was super excited about this one!!

Dave's big present this year. Which has been a huge hit already!

Taking a quick look at his Christmas present from Aunt Pat.

Chris and Dave had one present each that they had to open at the same time.

Matching Phillies shirts! (Dave looks happy in this one.)

(And Chris looks happy in this one.)
They both loved their matching shirts, I just didn't get a good picture of them both happy at the same time.
