Lessons from Pop

Earlier in the week, while Dave was at school and I was at work, Chris headed over to my Dad's shop to learn to turn some bowls. he started with making a night stick. So today, we went over so that Chris could put some of the finishing touches on it.

Dave watching Pop cutting the night stick off the chuck.

Chris helping and Dave still watching.

Dave inspecting Chris's work.

Dave helping Chris to do a little sanding.

"Now it's all smooth!"

Dave watching Chris add the polyurethane.

Dave thought that Pop's shop was pretty dirty so he decided to clean it up for him.

Getting all the wood chips in the bag.

And the best part of being in Pop's shop, getting blown off with the air hose!

He loves it!!

Fall Hayride

Sarah and Caleb had a fantastic idea to go on a fall hayride at RJ Farms! Above you can see the kids running around the hay-bail maze, while we were waiting for the hayride to begin.

Dave having a rest on the hay horse.

The three of us on the hayride. It was a great hayride, it was about 20 minutes long. The kids loved it, they laughed the entire time!

We thought that since we were already at the the pumpkin patch, we should just get a few.

Dave picking out his pumpkin!

"Do we need a cornstalk?"

"Check out these white pumpkins!"

Thank you Sarah and Caleb for inviting us to join you on your hayride, we all had a great time!

Souderton's Fire Prevention Night

Tonight, was Souderton's Fire Prevention night, and as soon as Dave heard that his Silverdale buddies were going to be there, he couldn't get there fast enough. Of course, we found the Silverdale Fire Company right away and Dave was met with cheers and high fives from all the fireman!

Dave watching the fireman using the jaws of life to open this car up.

It was surprising very quiet, I always thought that the jaws of life would be very loud.
The took this car totally apart!
We watched the medivac land!

A great bubble snow storm!!

Dave in bubble pants, and then it was time to go home, since he was totally soaked in bubbles!
