Philadelphia Fun

We had an absolutely fantastic day in Philadelphia today! I'm going to warn you now that this post has about a million pictures, well not a million but a ton.

Chris and Dave at the fountain on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Dave and I at the same fountain.

---

Our first stop of the day was to The Academy Of Natural Sciences! What a great museum, we will surely be going back in the future, Dave just loved it!

Chris and Dave looking at one of the many butterflies on exhibit.

A giant owl butterfly.

This is a lunar mouth, they only live for 48 hours! If you look closely at it's wing tip it looks like a snake's head.

"Good thing these skunks don't stink!"

One giant polar bear.

This moose was my favorite.

Seeing some fish bones.

Chris is wondering if this lobster would be big enough for Pop?!

This remind Chris and I of the movie Night in the Museum.

"Look at how big that dino head is!"

Dave sitting in a Dino footprint! He looks pretty small here, doesn't he?

The Dino's are alive!

The boys seeing how they measure up to Dino legs.

"I like monkey's.........

but not as much as I love turtles."

"Look at all those bees going in and out of their house."

Petting a very soft bunny in the Outside-In portion of the museum.

And we had to visit the turtle again before going to the live animal show!

During the live animal show we learned about this duck who is a hybrid of ducks. He was born with those feathers on his head, looks like a funny hat to me. We also met a legless lizard and got to pet a boa!!

One very big iguana!

---

After the museum we had a little bit of extra time before heading to our next adventure!

Chris had always wanted to see the inside of Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. So we took a little walk and were able to get a short tour of church. it's beautiful inside. Dave also lit a candle inside the church.

---

After seeing the church we decided to take a walk down to LOVE park.

The fountain is pink for breast cancer awareness month and the big walk this coming weekend.

---

And then it was off to the next fun surprise!!
Going to see the Phillies play!

The boys outside the stadium.

Walking to the stadium!

Dave seeing the field for the first time.

I love this picture. (This one is for you Pies!)

Chris telling Dave about batting practice.

What's a game without hot dogs!

Dave thought the Philly Phanatic was pretty funny.

The liberty bell.

Ok, the game is going to start now, it's time to be serious!

Watching the game!

Cliff Lee pitching.

Cheering for the Phillies!!!!

"Daddy, this is so much fun!!!"

We each got a rally towel and the Phillies gave Dave a poster to commemorate his first ever game!

Dave's on Montco Mom's

Check out Caitlin Domanico's article on Montco Mom's! And check it out on Chester County Mom's too!

Let's take Nan to the playground!

Dave thought that it would be a good idea to show Nan his favorite playground today!

"Watch this slide, Nan."

"And look you can ride on a horse."

Building a house for George

Dave thought today would be a good day to build a house for George! Below are a couple of pictures of Dave hard at working building the perfect house for George.

Fabulous Fridge Fridays

I thought that it would be a good idea to start a Fabulous Fridge Fridays entry! Since Friday is the day that art work usually comes home from school, and our fridge then looks fabulous!!! I thought it would be nice to share with you the wonderful things that Dave is creating in school, stay tuned every Friday to see what he has been up to in school.

Dave's First Movie Date!

Today, at school the kids watched Mary Poppins! Of course Dave sat next to his girlfriend, Sarah Jane. Thanks Steph, for capturing Dave's "First Date" on camera for us!
