School bound

Today, we registered Dave for pre-k classes at La Petite in Chalfont!! Dave will begin in September and attend Wednesdays and Fridays. He is getting used to the idea and each time we go to visit he warms up to the idea even more. I think after the first few days he will love school!

Fun in the pool with Pies

It finally feels like swimming weather!! So Pies called Dave to see if he would want to go swimming.

I think they are going to have the cleanest pool in Perkasie.

Swimming around with Pies.

An a little pool volleyball. All before the big thunder crash, and then it was time to get out.

The one that got away

The boys heading to their usual fishing spot!

Getting the hook baited and ready to catch fish.

In goes the line and the waiting begins.

Waiting...

Still waiting....

Still waiting.....

And then Chris got one!! But just as I took this picture the fish jumped off the line and back into the water.

"I'm going to recast somewhere else."

Waiting again.

And then we were lucky enough to get another one!!!

Dave checking out the fish.

"Let's look for some frogs. And then go home."

Fishing with Pies and Daddy

While I was at work this past week, Dave, Daddy and Pies went fishing.

"I'm going to catch a fish today, Pies!"

So he waited patiently for a fish to bite.

And sure enough a fish did bite!

"Look he's pretty big!!"

"Let's take him off and put him back in to go home."

"Don't hurt him."

He's a pretty neat fish, now time to go back in the water.

The challenge of summer dinners!

Dave wanted to help peel the corm for dinner last night. So I handed him an ear and he looked at if for a few minutes and asked, "How do you get this off?"

"I'm going to watch you do one first."

"Oh, like this!"

"It's OK, Mommy, if you don't get all the silk in the bag, the birds will use it for a nest!"

"Looks great to eat!"

Member's Only Picnic

Tonight was the member's only picnic at the zoo. So we braved the rain and headed t0 the zoo. Above Dave is trying to get some bugs in the frogs mouths to win a prize.

Then he did some fishing for another prize.

Chose a duck for a prize.

The huge elk was out and about in the rain, he's someone that we usually don't see when we are at the zoo, so it was a treat to see him.

It really was weather for the ducks, but we did get a break in the rain while we were there to be able to walk around and see all the animals.
