UP!

Since today was rather rainy day and no one wanted to leave the house till later, we thought it might be nice to go to Applebee's (not to mention the fact that our oven is broken) for dinner and then go to a movie!  This was Dave's first movie to see in the theater.  he was so excited to see the new Disney/Pixar movie, UP!  Below he is checking out the posters to see what other movies are coming to the theater.  It looks like we might be going to see G-force, Dave saw some previews for this in the theater and was laughing at the talking guinea pigs.

Or maybe Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Dave getting ready to watch the movie!  He did sit on my lap the whole time, he doesn't quit weigh enough to keep the seat all the way down so that it doesn't fold up on him.  But we did make it thorough the whole movie!

Did you know this about the zoo?

Today, when we took Nan to the zoo, we stopped to talk to some of the Docents, who are volunteers at the zoo.  They told us a very interesting fact about Elmwood, they are the only zoo in the United States to house all five endangered American animals!

1. The Bison.

2. The Black-Footed Ferret.

3. The Wolf.

4. The Alligator.

5. The Bald Eagle.

Just a little fun fact that we thought we would share.

Oh No, Eleanor!

After, we ate dinner with Nan and Pop tonight, Dave wanted to head out into the woods.  As we were going we saw Eleanor in the woods and it looked like she was after something.  And up the tree she went.

And she started to look around.

But Nan and Dave found what she had chased out of the tree earlier.

A little baby bird!

And here she comes back down the tree all proud of herself.

I am happy to report that the baby bird did find his way back to his later that night.

Perkasie's Fun run for Heart Health

In the afternoon we went to Perkasie's Fun Run.  They had all sorts of kids activities.  First you got a passport to travel around with in the kids tent.  Then we went to Hilltown's Police stand for an ID kit and got our passport stamped.  Then it was off the the bean bag toss.

Then we colored a picture of healthy foods.  Then went to Bucks/Mont Indoor Sports stand for some soccer!  Below they are playing red light, green light.

And they are off to get soccer balls!
After soccer, it was to spin the wheel to see if it landed on your number.  Then Dave had his pulse checked!  It was 120 exactly what it should be for a four year old.  Then since he got his passport stamped at every station he got goody bag filled with all kinds of treats!  It was a great day in the park.

Kt Saddlery

This morning, we went to Kt Saddlery in Bedminster for their summer open house.  We went to meet Penelope a miniature horse and have a ride on her carriage.

This was our view for our ride around the field.  Penelope even did some trotting for us in the field.

Dave got to hold onto the reins and do the steering.

Dave thanking Penelope for our ride!  Isn't she just a cute little horse.
