Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary to us!

Although, it was a little late, I gave Chris his anniversary present yesterday. We started off at the Phillies afternoon game against the Brewers. Which the Phillies did win!! Go Phils!
As you can see we had pretty good seats! They remained in the shade for most of the game which was nice considering the temperature of the day.

After, the game we went to Penn's Landing to check in at the Hyatt. After checking in we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Moshulu.

For dessert Chris had the ice cream sampler! Looked like such a fun dessert to eat. They even gave us candles and wrote Happy Anniversary in chocolate on our plates.

And for Dessert I had the Chocolate tasting! I was in chocolate heaven.

It was nice to get away and have sometime just us. My Mom stayed with Dave while we were away for the night. By all the stories that Dave is telling me, it sounds like they had a great time, too!!

Playdate with Caleb

Today, we met Caleb and Noah at the Menlo playground. Dave just loves meeting up with his buddy Caleb. They are so cute together, each time they see one another their conversations are getting more and more in depth and have real meaning. Sarah and I enjoy listening to them talking and watching how they are developing a good friendship together.

The boys spent most of their day looking at a caterpillar that they found together.

Both boys made sure to show Noah the caterpillar, too.

Here's the little caterpillar that they found, remarkably he survived a morning of three little boys playing with him.

Lil'kickers day 1

Today, was Dave's first soccer class!! He loved every minute of it. Here he is in his cool soccer uniform, he's number 7. After, the class the coaches suggested that we think about moving him to next level. Dave is currently in the cottontails group, but the coaches felt that he was able to move to the hoppers group. The hoppers group is for 3- 4 year olds, we have good eye and hand or foot coordination and follow directions well. Moving to the hoppers group would also mean that Dave would be on the field with other kids by himself. So we are going to consider this after one more class at the cottontails level. Dave meeting his coach, Coach Kenny and his assistant Coach Brittany. Look at me on the soccer field! All the kids having a race.Dave listening very carefully to Coach Kenny's instructions on how to kick the soccer ball.Dave kicking the ball.Look at him kicking the ball down the field. He did a fantastic job today!! Chris and I were both so proud that he followed all the rules and all the instructions.

Lil'Kickers open house

Yesterday, we went to the Bucks/Mont Indoor Sports Center to check out the open house for the Lil'kickers program. It's a soccer program that starts at as young as 18 months and goes up to age 9 years. Dave absolutely loved the program and we enrolled him in the cottontails program for the next 12 Tuesdays. His coaches name is Coach Dave, so of course Dave found this to be very cool!! Here are just a few pictures from the open house.
Here the kids are setting out the cones which they have to pretend are trees. Which later they had to kick a soccer ball around the cones and try not to wake up the birds. Dave understood and was pretty good at handling the ball. But, he did make sure to point our to Coach Dave that the other kids didn't quite understand that they were not supposed to wake up the birds (knock over the cones). So after a little bit Dave's job was then to reset all the trees that the other kids knocked over.
I'm not really sure why Dave has the cones on his head!?? Dave and Coach Dave having a race down the field! Coach Dave was great at working with the two and three year old crowd, he kept things moving at a very fast pace and kept them interested. They played about half a dozen games or so in the time we were there. Dave is so looking forward to starting on Tuesday!!
